Medical. Dental. TMO.

So right now I am drowning in things to cross off a nonexistent, but ever present to-do list.  Go to the doctor for Maggie.  Go to the dentist for Maggie and I.  Go to the doctor for me.  Go to hospital.  Email.  Fill out forms.  Go to TMO class.  Go to PCS class.  Go back to hospital.  Sign paperwork.  Refinance Sorento.  Sign more paperwork. Do.  Go.  Sign.  Do.  Go.  All while maintaining sanity and our day to day lives.
Is your head spinning.  Yeah?  Mine too.
Since they day we received orders to Japan, we have been doing everything we need to do to get our clearances and set everything up.  We have applied for official passports.  We have gone to the doctors, to the dentist.  We have crossed our T's and dotted our I's.  We have filled out more paperwork that we care to and I am sure there is more coming at us.
But what they didn't tell us when we got our orders was how nerve racking this whole process is.  We are now in limbo waiting for our medical clearance to go through.  The gaining hospital in Okinawa has to make sure they can handle my previous struggles with depression, if they return, and they have to make sure they can handle and treat the hypothyroidism (for which I was diagnosed in February).  This process, I am glad they do it, but it is crazy to wait for an email from the hospital saying that my daughter and I can move around the world.
And while we wait, we must move forward, organizing our belongings, selling what we can.  Keeping what we want.  Discarding what can't be sold and what we don't want to keep.   Rearranging our lives into 3 shipments and the things we want to keep with us while traveling and during our first few weeks in Japan.  But I could write an entire post on our belonging & the to-do list dealing with it alone.
Maggie is beyond excited to move to Okinawa.  And she thinks we are going there, like yesterday.  Almost literally, every time we leave the house she asks if we are going to Okinawa. Its heart warming to know that while she is young and doesn't quite understand what's going on, she asks things like "Can my baby doll go to Okinawa too?".  She is excited about the plane ride and the beaches, the crystal clear beaches.
But for now I must go and try to sleep so that I can tackle my to do list.
