Connect the Dots.

When you look at your life, do you see the dots that God has connected to get you to a certain point?  Do you see the yellow brick road He laid to get you where you are?  For the first time in my life I do see these dots, this yellow brick road.  A road that God led me on to prepare me for one of the most life changing and exciting things I have ever encountered.  But before I reveal the destination, the life altering event, lets look at the dots.

September 2010- Scott told me he was to deploy to Afghanistan for 1 year.
March 2011- Scott deployed and Maggie and I moved home to live with my parents.
March 2011- December 2011- Maggie and I traveled to and from South Carolina to visit family twice, while also seeing family on a few occasions when they came to Florida.
January 2012- Maggie and I moved back to prepare for Scott's return home.
February 2012- Scott returned home from Afghanistan.  We rescued a dog who we thought would fit perfectly into our home.  About 3 weeks after we rescued her, she bit our daughter twice with about 12 hours, for no foreseeable reason.  We returned the dog.
March 2012- I received a job offer, but just 13 days in the job I was terminated for not meeting my sales quota (that a whole big long story, but one of the dots none the less).

But where do these dots, this path lead us to today?

On April 10th, my husband received orders to move.  But not just any move, a move that would alter our entire lives, for the most part in a great way!!!

Scott, Maggie, and I are moving to Okinawa, Japan for three years.  And while this is a lot to swallow I can tell by my path that Japan is exactly where He wants our family.  I am at ease knowing this.  I am at ease leaving the U.S. for 3 years knowing that I just spend a year with family.  They were able to see first hand my daughter changing before their very eyes.  And while I am stressed and slightly freaking out about such a huge move, culture change, et cetera, I am beyond excited for the experience that my family is about to receive.

I will share more about our journey as we move through this process.
